Preston’s ‘heart of skating’ bulldozed for apartments
The Tannery, Preston's DIY skatepark, was built by the community over a decade and had become a hub for skaters from across Melbourne. Its demolition to make way for a housing development has left locals lamenting their loss and further reduced accessible recreational spaces for young people. Amelia Costigan reports.
