Citizen reporter and recent Master of Journalism graduate Grace Aicken is the recipient of the 2020 William Buckland Foundation Scholarship, and on her way to 12 weeks in a paid reporting position with the legendary Sunraysia Daily in Mildura.

Grace will be embedded with one of regional Victoria’s longest serving publications. The Sunraysia Daily has recently celebrated 100 years of reporting the trials and triumphs of its community and is recognised for its long-standing dedication to telling the stories of the region.

Spending 12 weeks with this enduring institution, Grace will have the opportunity to sharpen her reporting skills and develop a clearer understanding of how to take a story from pitch to publication.

The scholarship is awarded by the Walkley Foundation, and supported by the William Buckland Foundation. For more information, click here.
