Sharon is pursuing a Master of Journalism at the University of Melbourne and has written for The Citizen and MOJO News. She holds a Bachelor of Media and Communication from Monash University and is a New Colombo Plan alumna and language fellow, with experience volunteering alongside rural communities in Indonesia. Her journalistic interests include ethnic press, humanitarian affairs and identity politics. She is particularly interested in how journalism can amplify marginalised voices through trauma-informed reporting and cultural sensitivity, with a broader interest in feminist literature.
