The work of two recent Master of Journalism alums has been selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Best Australian Science Writing 2024, published by NewSouth.
Former Citizen cadet, and now Guardian Australia science and environment reporter, Petra Stock, has a piece in the much-loved anthology, sharing the honours with another graduate from the class of ’21, Amalyah Hart. This is Amalyah’s second consecutive appearance on the collection, with her 2023 piece chosen as runner-up for the coveted UNSW Bragg Prize for Science Writing.
The 2024 anthology – the fourteenth edition of the collection – will be available in bookstores in late November. It is edited by Jackson Ryan and Carl Smith, with a foreword by DeadlyScience founder Corey Tutt OAM.
