Taboo: On the rags, crimson wave, Aunt Flo … just say it. Period!

There’s still widespread stigma attached to menstruation. So when Melbourne artist Claire Weigall realised while talking to her daughter that she hadn’t quite overcome that learnt sense of feminine shame, she pulled out some blood-red yarn and started crocheting. Alexandra Alvaro continues our video series Taboo, going where others fear to tread.
