6:10am - “Look at how beautiful it is,” said Luo Zhaoxiu when picking cowpeas in her farmland at 6:10 am. Cowpeas have grown very well this year because of the improved soil fertility.
6:40am - Luo Zhaoxiu is carrying the cowpeas home with a shoulder pole on her way back home. “Hurry up - we need more rounds to pick all of them,” said Luo Zhaoxiu.
7:40am - Luo Zhaoxiu is cleaning the just-picked cowpeas in the yard as soon as she back home.“Can you help ask neighbours where the greengrocer is? She is so busy,” said Luo Zhaoxiu.
8:30am - Luo Zhaoxiu (middle) and her husband (left) are selling cowpeas to the female greengrocer (right). Greengrocers return to the village after the lockdown ended.“Just looking at how great those cowpeas are, they deserve a higher price!” said Tang Weikun.“But cowpeas are everywhere!” said the female greengrocer.
7:30pm - After dinner, Luo Zhaoxiu (left) is watching her granddaughter (middle) interact with Duoduo (the dog), with her husband chatting with neighbours (right).Mr Tang said, “Jokes, I undoubtedly harvest more cowpeas than you.”
