Curly questions on taxonomy and hidden history in the herbarium

The University of Melbourne’s herbarium holds 403 pressed and preserved specimens of a single vibrant plant. It’s scientific name is Eremophila. Gardeners mostly mostly know it as emu bush. But Indigenous language groups have their own names for this endemic Australian plant, long valued for its medicinal properties. So, what’s in a name?
