Artist Jan Senbergs and poet Chris Wallace-Crabbe have collaborated in the form of paintings and poems to create their imagined versions of six cities: Kandy, Odessa, Oran, Santo Domingo, Timbuktu and Reykjavik, places that neither of them have visited, and possibly never will.

Senbergs’ lively, thick strokes marry with Wallace-Crabbe’s elegant words to create vistas borne out of their imaginations. The result is six original lithographic prints and an exhibition, ‘Those Imagined Cities’, being held at the Australian Print Workshop.

The two artists, friends for more than 40 years, talk to Buffy Gorrilla about memories, travel and tennis.
